Johnny Ng, Vice President of Operations
Mr. Ng is both an engineer with over 20 years of experience in engineering design, planning, and project management as well as the co-founder of Rising Tide, LLC, a successful Hawaiian company that develops smart card, RFID and GPS solutions for access control and transportation.
Mr. Ng has engaged in a wide range of large-scale engineering projects in both the U.S. and Asia. He has, for instance, served as the Computer Services Administrator for Parametrix, Inc., an engineering firm in Honolulu. He has served as an engineer for the Washington State Department of Natural Resources, where he used a Geographical Information Systems (GIS) program to develop road designs and forest harvesting periods with 3-D renderings. He has also been engaged to develop the Water and Sewer System Study for Pearl Harbor.
Mr. Ng also instructs drafters and engineers in the use of AutoCad and Microstation. In addition, he has taught Microsoft Office, Projects, Visio, and many other classes at CompUSA.
Mr. Ng has gained hands-on managerial experience in the GPS and RFID industries through his association with Rising Tide, LLC. Since its formation in 1998, Rising Tide has introduced exciting new Smart Card technologies, including UniCard and SmartCity solutions, into the Hawaiian marketplace.
Mr. Ng received a BS in engineering from the University of Washington and an MBA from Chamindae University in Hawaii.
